Getting to the exhibition centre
Freiburg is part of a German-wide and international traffic network with excellent connections to airports, the long-distance ICE railway lines and interstate autobahns. As a result, the exhibition centre is very easy to reach with all forms of transportation.
Via the A5 autobahn Frankfurt-Karlsruhe-Basel, exit „Freiburg Mitte“. Afterwards follow the traffic guidance system of the “Messe Freiburg” all the way to the exhibition centre.

From the central station you can travel to the exhibition centre with the tram in the direction of Breisach to "Messe". From there it is only a short walk to the exhibition centre.

Local public transport
By tram and bus within Freiburg
Travel to "Hauptbahnhof" on the lines 1, 3 or 5 and change there to the line 11 bus in the direction of “Messe”. An additional opportunity of boarding this bus is at the “Rennweg” stop on the line 5 tram.

The EuroAirport is the nearest airport to Freiburg, 80 km away. It offers international scheduled flights and charter flights.
The airport can be reached directly from Freiburg by airport bus or bus and train with a change of trains in Basel.
By car it can be reached via the A5 autobahn in the direction of Basel, then from the autobahn triangle Neuenburg via Ottmarsheim/Mulhouse on the A35 or shortly before the Basel autobahn customs office via Palmrheinbücke, Huningue and St. Louis.
Freiburg Airfield (EDTF)
The Freiburg Airfield is located directly at the “Messe Freiburg” and only 1.5 km from the city centre. The Freiburg airfield (customs airport) is a popular and direct air link for commercial enterprises, business people and private pilots to the exhibition centre or many attractions of the city of Freiburg. The small airport is licensed for aircraft weighing up to 10,000 tons.

Strasbourg Airport (Aèroport international Strasbourg)
About 80 km away from Freiburg, situated a little to the south of Strasbourg (near Entzheim). Accessible via public transport: Via rail by travelling to Strasbourg (via Offenburg and Kehl) after which there are a number of ways to reach the airport by bus, tram or regional railway. The airport can be reached by car using the A5 and Rue National highways in France.

Karlsruhe/Baden-Baden Airport (Baden Airpark)
This international airport is located about 100 km north of Freiburg between Baden-Baden and Karlsruhe. Accessible by public transport via rail links from Freiburg to Baden-Baden, Rastatt or Karlsruhe and then continuing by bus, or using the direct airport transfer shuttle busses departing from Freiburg. Accessible by car using the A5 (exit Baden-Baden).
The airport is located about 150 km from Freiburg. Accessible by train using the direct ICE link from Freiburg central station to Zürich central station then changing to a regional train to the airport. Accessible by car using the A5 autobahn to Basel, then the A3 to Zurich.

About 200 km from Freiburg. Easily accessible by train from the Freiburg Central Station to Stuttgart Central Station via Karlsruhe, and from there with the tram to the airport. Accessible by car via the A5 and A8 autobahn.

Frankfurt Airport is about 270 km from Freiburg. The airport is easily accessible, especially by train. There is a direct ICE link from Freiburg Central Station to Frankfurt Airport long-distance train terminal (Fernbahnhof) in about 2 hours, with direct access to the terminal from there.
